Dream Garden

Okay, so this one requires a little explanation.

I did this as an assignment for the application to a Dutch art school. We had to check our social media messages, and from them, choose five words or sentences we liked. Then we had to draw 2 sketches per word/sentence, and base a final work, a book, on our ideas.
The words and sentences I chose were:
- Slaap lekker! = Sleep well!
- Dromen = dreams
- Passievrucht = Passion fruit
- Chocoladefondue = Chocolate fondue
- It possesses unthinkable powers

I knew I wanted my book to be a short story. I also knew I wanted to make a star-shaped book, because I wanted to do something special, and since we had to make te book ourselves it wouldn't be an extra effort anyway. And then I knew I wanted to make a story that ends where it began, so you could read the book like a circle (I don't really know how to explain this so sorry if you don't understand xd feel free to ask).

At the bottom of the picture, you see the seven 'panels' of the story. I'll explain for those who don't get it/can't see because it's ant-sized:
A little girl goes to sleep in the evening (notice the starry background made with watercolours and salt). When she falls asleep, her soul/inner self/dream self wakes up and is up for a little adventure. So she flies out the window and finds her paradise: passion flowers and bunnies (she's a little girl, ya. + bunnies are cute) everywhere! There's even some chocolate fondue! But then, her lovely dream turns into a nightmare. The bunnies turn in the scary ghosts and the plants want to eat her! So she hurries back to her bedroom, and falls asleep safely.

Hmm, I guess that's all there is to tell you!
